I Planted a tree for you
Posted by Adelaide Steggall on 1st Dec 2023
In the heart of Mother Earth, a promise I did sow,
A seed of hope, a testament to the love that we bestow.
I planted a tree for you, under the radiant sky so blue,
To breathe life into our future, a gift that's always new.
With each leaf it unfurls, it tells a tale profound,
Of resilience, growth, and life, in every inch of ground.
The whispers of the wind, through its branches they weave,
Carrying your name, in the stories they conceive.
This tree, a living testament, to the choices we can make,
To love, preserve, recycle, for our planet's sake.
Its roots run deep, as should our resolve,
In the face of adversity, we stand firm, we won't dissolve.
I planted a tree for you, but also for us all,
A beacon of sustainability, standing tall and proud.
Let's follow its lead, let's make our stand,
For a greener, cleaner, more sustainable land.
So join me now, in this noble pursuit,
Plant a seed, a tree, let life take root.
Because every action counts, no matter how small,
When we plant for the future, we plant for us all.
